I think it is a bad idea to build a wall between Mexico and America because in the past this hasn't worked, also that would be a lot of wasted money. It would probably be a lot better if Donald Trump told everyone his reasons about this decision and talk about it with the people on the other side of the border. Also "One act of goodwill always sparks another" doesn't it? What do you think about this? Please comment below on anything I can work on.

Tough Kid Reflection

On the 20th of the 11th in 2019 Korimako went to tough kid 2019. I really enjoyed tough kid apart from having to tight shoes and that my shoelaces kept coming undone. My favorite obstacle was walking through the lake even through I got wet. After there was a massive line for the changing room so that took ages. My shoes got soaking wet but thankfully they are all right! Have you done tough kid if you haven't you should ask your teacher to sign you up next year!

Goals, Goals, Goals!

We had to come up with a Math, Reading or writing goal and also choose a five R and do a goal about that. It was hard for me to come up with two goals but eventually found something. What are your goals? Please comment below on what I can work on.

Solve the problem

In maths we had to answer and figure out a problem, then make a DLO that includes a screencastify. That can teach someone how to figure it out. I wrote it out on the slide so I would remember what too say in the screencastify. It helped me a lot! do you like math?

Letters

In reading we had to choose an assignment about the book we are reading then complete and post it on our blog, the assignment I choose was number 18. Write a letter to a character in the book or a letter from one character to another. I found this assignment really enjoyable because I was writing a letter to someone I had read about in the book. The book this is based off is called the A Gown of Spanish lace. I used google slides to complete this. Would you like to write a letter to one of your favourite story characters?

Unanswered Questions

In reading we had to choose an activity and then complete. I choose activity 21. Make a list of “lingering questions” you have after finishing the book. The book I choose was called A Gown of Spanish Lace it was my Mum's old book. The thing I found hard was that there wasn't lots of lingering question for me at the end of the book. I used google slides to complete this activity. What things do you wonder at the end of books?

Back in the day

  We had to choose a reading assignment then complete it to a high stranded. I personally think it is a good post because it is easy to read . I choose question 3 which is: 3. Write about something that surprised you or that you found interesting.
The book I choose is called Back in the day, I really enjoyed it, it's a must read for girls. Pretty Pepeha

In Te Reo we had to make our own Pepeha. A Pepeha is where you formally and traditionally introduce yourself in Maori. I couldn't find a bitmoji that resembled me or my family so I had to use photos. It's pretty Plain but I hope you enjoy it! If there is any Thing that would help you understand it better please say below.

Tough Tournament Reflection

Last week the teachers choose out a 9 player netball team for a 6 aside netball tournament at Haeata. We played 6 really hard games and came out third so we're going through to Canterburys. The R we used really well was reciprocity because we worked well in a team. We lost two hard games and won six. I think next time we need to improve our defence because there were really tall girls there. I learnt it is really important to work as a team because if you don't then the other team gets past. If I could do it again I would have played a game with my team before because we had never played an actual game together before. I think I did really well and grabbed lots of balls! It was lots of fun!

Her Description

Red hot Ws

We are reading a book called Red Hot Racers. We had to choose an activity from a page of activity's. the Activity I choose was one about the Five Ws of the book. I found this hard because we had only read one page and couldn't do much of the activity's. Next time it will be much easier because I will have read more. Please comment below on how I can improve.

We got to choose if we wanted to write a Narrative, a Recount, a Information Report, a Persuasive writing, a Poem, a Explanation or Procedure. I choose a Narrative. I went on to Pobble 365 and choose different pictures then wrote a story around them. The dates of the pictures I choose are 24/12, 27/12, 2/7 and 29/5. What ones are missing?

For reading we needed to go on spellodrome and do a word list game and complete a worrd list. Then we had to choose a spelling activity and use ten words from the word list I used. The spelling activity I choose was where you called missing vowels where make a space for every vowel. What word is this, C_t_str_ph_? Please comment below when you have an answer.

Great Barrier Reef

For this information report I decided to do the Great Barrier Reef because it is endangered and there is a lot I don't know about it. I am still working on it and on my diagrams. Please comment below if I can do anything better. Did you know that coral is part of the jellyfish family.

Nightingale and the Rose Book Cover and Blurb

Blurb and about the Author 

My task was to make a new title page for the book I was reading which was nightingale and the rose. the title had to look appealing and please the eyes we had to have a blurb about the book and a bit about the author.  I think my cover is eye catching and matches the book because there is pictures that look nice and relate to the things in the book. the nightingale and the rose is from The Happy Prince and other stories that include: The Happy Prince, The Nightingale and The Rose, The Selfish Giant, The Devoted Friend, The Remarkable Rocket, The Star Child and The Canterville Ghost the author is Oscar Wilde have you ever read any thing by him?

This year for our self portraits we took a photo of our selves and had to colour in the picture with pastel. My inspiration was a clown. What would your theme be?

Maori Greetings

Our task was to set up something on our devices to teach people maori greetings. I decided  to use powtoon because I am familiar with.
